This site is maintained by the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, and has the latest information on the spread of West Nile Virus in the US, as well as information on disease transmission, symptoms, etc.

This site is maintained by Pet Disease Alerts has the latest information on Lyme Disease and Tick Borne Diseases. The information is separated out and rated by county! Very informative if you are traveling and wondering what sort of tick impact there may be on your dog.
